This poster was made for the 1965 Bengali film Subarnarekha directed by Ritwik Ghatak. Although it was created in 1962, it wasn't released until 1965. It is a part of a trilogy that also includes Meghe Dhaka Tara (1960), Komal Gandhar (1961), and Subarnarekha (1962), all of which are about the refugees who were affected by the Partition of India in 1947 and how they dealt with it.
