This poster was made for the 1977 Indian Kannada language film Ghatashraaddha directed by Girish Kasaravalli. Meena Kuttappa, Narayana Bhat, and Ajith Kumar were in lead roles. This movie was based on a story by renowned Kannada author U. R. Ananthamurthy. The movie, which was directed for the first time by Girish Kasaravalli, not only heralded the entry of a talented young talent but also put Kannada cinema on the map of India's "New Cinema."
