This poster is from Rajinikanth and Madhavi’s 1981 Indian Tamil film Garjanai, which was directed by C. V. Rajendran. Ilaiyaraaja composed the music. Both Garjane and Garjanam, the Kannada and Malayalam versions of the movie, were simultaneously filmed. The box-office performance of all three films was dismal. The shortest run of any of Rajinikanth's movies in theatres was one of his 52-day runs in Chennai for Garjanai.
