This poster was made for the 1937 marathi social drama film Kunku, which was written and directed by V. Shantaram, is based on the book Na Patnari Goshta by Narayan Hari Apte. The Hindi version of the movie, Duniya Na Maane, was simultaneously produced and released. The film was screened at the Venice International Film Festival and went on to become a critical and financial success.
