This poster was made for the 1957 Bengali-language love drama film Harano Sur, directed by Ajoy Kar, which starred Suchitra Sen and Uttam Kumar and included music by Hemant Kumar and vocals by Geeta Dutt. This is the first movie that Uttam and Ajoy Kar co-produced. One of the best examples of Bengali cinema from this early era is thought to be this movie. The 1942 American film Random Harvest served as the inspiration for the movie. At the box office, the movie was a great hit.
