Vaidyanathan, a renowned composer, created the music. The movie received favourable reviews. As Be-Shaque noted, Kashinath remade the film in Hindi. Avano Atho Avalo was the name of the Malayalam version of the film. The film's Telugu dubbing was Aparichitulu.
