This poster was made for the 1971 Indian Kannada film based on the same-named Triveni novel called Sharapanjara. Kalpana and Gangadhar were in key roles. It was directed by Puttanna Kanagal. One of the best Kannada movies ever produced is this one, according to critics. Richly illustrated, Triveni's book was faithfully adapted for the cinema by Puttanna, who also kept the majority of the dialogue and gave Triveni credit for it.
