This poster was made for the 1957 black-and-white Hindi film Kathputli. Ajit Chakraborty and Amiya Chakraborty's Sreerangam Productions created this movie. Amiya Chakrabarty, who had previously helmed Basant, Daag, and Seema, directed her final movie. He passed away while the movie was being made, and Nitin Bose assumed control of the helm. The Shankar-Jaikishan combo wrote the music for the movie, and Shailendra and Hasrat Jaipuri wrote the lyrics.
